Summary

Maya Pet is an account-based app. To use it, you sign in with Apple or Google. Your pets' health and care records are stored securely in the cloud, tied to your account, so they are not lost when you change phones and stay in sync across devices. Your data belongs only to you; it is never sold or shared for advertising. You can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time.

1. Data We Collect

A. Account Information (Apple / Google sign-in)

Email address. Provided by Apple or Google sign-in. Used for account identity and login. It is linked to your identity (Apple: "Linked to Identity"). If you choose "Hide My Email" with Sign in with Apple, we only receive a private relay address.
Name (if provided). Only if Apple/Google shares it on your first sign-in, shown in your profile.

B. Cloud Data Tied to Your Account

Your pet's name, species (dog/cat), breed, birth date, weight history, photo
Vaccine, medication, meal, walk, litter box, symptom and vet visit records
Notes, expenses and reminder preferences

This data is stored in Supabase (Europe, Ireland), tied to your account, and synced across your devices. Only you can access it: row-level security rules ensure your records are visible only to your own account. For offline use, data is also cached on your device and synced when you are back online.

C. Anonymous Analytics (not linked to identity)

Device identifier (Apple IDFV / Android ID). To understand active users and version distribution. Not linked to your identity (Apple: "Not Linked to Identity").
Event logs. Statistics such as which screens are opened. No content (pet name, health records) is ever sent.
Crash reports. If the app closes unexpectedly, the error message and device model are recorded. Contains no personal data.

You can turn off detailed event analytics inside the app (Settings → Analytics).

2. Who We Share Data With

Never for sale or advertising. No data is shared with ad networks or third-party trackers. We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We only use the infrastructure providers required to run the service:

Apple & Google. For sign-in (authentication) only. At sign-in they verify basic information (email) that belongs to you.
Supabase. Your account, pet records and photos are stored on Supabase (Europe, Ireland). Compliant with EU data protection standards.
Resend. For required transactional emails (signed with DKIM/SPF/DMARC, EU servers).
Legal obligation. May be shared with authorities where required by a court order or law.

3. Data Location

Account + pet records + photos: Supabase eu-west-1 (Ireland, EU)
On-device cache: Only on your own phone (for offline access)
Email infrastructure: Resend eu-west-1 (Ireland, EU)

4. Your Rights (GDPR & KVKK)

You can request access to your data
You can fully delete your account. In the app: Profile → MY ACCOUNT → Delete Account. After a two-step confirmation, your account, all your cloud records and photos are permanently deleted.
You can request correction or deletion of your data
You can turn off analytics
You can request your data in a portable format

5. Children's Privacy

Maya Pet is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

6. Notifications

Vaccine, medication and walk reminders are generated only on your own device. Their content is not sent to our servers. You can disable notifications any time from your system settings.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you inside the app.
